In the past month, I've gotten a speeding ticket for the first time in my life, had a hold put on my library card over one slightly overdue kids' video, and had a big fight with a sullen 19-yr-old lifeguard over whether Will [her clean little five-year-old] showered adequately before his swim in the Y pool. It's like, what, war breaks out and everyone responds by clamping down on their own little piece of the world?Anyhow, it's damned boring... I think she's on to something.
