beulahbondo's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Old Cape Cod Greetings from Wellfleet, Mass., where I'm taking an afternoon library break. And what better place than a public library to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Nancy Drew! After several astonishing days wrapping up the program at school, I skipped north for a night and a day of transition with Miz Moon, her Mister, and the ever-frisky Andrew, who had just returned from a tongue-spraining weekend on the environmental activism and anti-sexism circuit. We had Korean food, mid-Vermont style, and saw "Pirates of the Caribbean," which was EXCELLENT. Slept in a tent down the hill from Moon and Mister's cabin, and slept soundly except for when the crabapples bonked me. Spent the morning with Mister's various relatives and the afternoon tubing in the White River. I enjoyed my own private water Butoh session--getting upstream over some rocks took a good 30 minutes--then motored across New Hampshire and over Boston, and here I am in Wellfleet. As the little girl downstairs in my decidedly un-posh inn (rusty fan and Snoopy wastebasket) said, "It's so great to stay by yourself and boss yourself around."
