The villanelle

So "J" wants to know what a villanelle is. J, and others, it's a verse form that rhymes aba five times, then four lines of abaa. In addition the third line of the first set recurs as the last line of the third and fifth. According to my Norton Anthology of Poetry, "the art of writing complicated forms like the villanelle is to give them the graceful momentum of good dancing."

I like that rather snotty "good dancing."
