beulahbondo's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why would they think that? So you know I'm a Gallup pollster, right? Every so often the organization sends me a summary of recent surveys, not all of which I took part in. Like this one, the results of which surprised me: Panelists express significant skepticism about media reports of the situation in Iraq. Specifically, 56% of panelists say that the media are providing an inaccurate account of what is going on in Iraq. About 6 in 10 of those panelists who say that the media are providing inaccurate reports say the news services are making the situation out to be worse than it really is. Who are these people? The same ones who say they are more excited to see 2007 arrive (88%) than they are sad to see 2006 go (8%)? 4:37 p.m. - 2007-01-10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
